The Vision  - A New Deeside Village

The Village

The Deeside Valley, ‘Royal Deeside’, has a unique identity. It is formed from a blend of the outstanding visual beauty of the surrounding landscape and a rich and varied social heritage. It has a distinct culture steeped in tradition whilst enjoying a vibrant and diverse economy. Our aim is to use these outstanding characteristics to create a strong sense of collective ownership, belonging, and civic pride in this new village.

The historic villages and towns of Deeside have a distinct character formed by a coherent mix of recognisable building types, materials, streets and public spaces.

The overriding objectives behind the design of Park Village are to create a new settlement where people want to live; to produce a model village which incorporates all the features and components which provide for the needs and aspirations of our society and to design a distinctive urban plan and buildings which belong in this outstanding landscape.

The aim is to embrace the urban characteristics and building forms which typify Deeside.  There is a strong and distinctive style to the existing towns and villages in the area and Park aims to capture the essence of these and create the next Deeside Village.
